Tennessee Tiered Supports Center (TSC) is proud to announce Randolph Howell Elementary STEM School has been selected as an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School—Silver Level for 2021-2022. There are over 1,800 schools across the state of Tennessee and each year a small percentage of schools meet criteria to be selected as an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School.

Randolph Howell Elementary STEM School has been a participant in training and technical assistance and has undergone the process of implementing a positive and proactive behavioral systems framework for all students. The RTI2-B framework consists of identifying common behavioral expectations across campus, teaching, re-teaching, reinforcing, and regularly acknowledging students, faculty, and families for exhibiting these expectations. Randolph Howell Elementary STEM School has applied this framework to improve their school climate and culture, student engagement, and school connectedness. In meeting this award criteria, Randolph Howell Elementary STEM School demonstrated use of school-wide behavioral data to inform teaching practices and levels of support provided to students based on need. Twice a year, they also reflected on overall fidelity to guide their implementation of the RTI2-B framework.

As an RTI2-B Model of Demonstration School—Silver Level for 2021-2022, Randolph Howell Elementary STEM School can now serve as a RTI2-B mentor to other schools across Tennessee.

RTI2-B training, technical assistance, and supports were provided to schools by Tennessee TSC (formerly Tennessee Behavior Supports Project), a technical assistance center funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee.





Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to share that Maury County Public Schools is rolling out Remind district-wide! If you're not already familiar with Remind, it's a classroom communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child's learning. Remind will also be the primary communications tool for principals and the district to communicate weekly, monthly or urgent messages such as school closing due to inclement weather.

 

Remind is free to use, and you'll be able to get and send messages on any device—even a simple text message from your phone!

 

No smartphone or texting capabilities? No worries, you will still get phone calls if that is the only way you get notifications. It may be your administrators voice or a computer-generated voice with the message. Either way, you are still going to get the news.

 

If you download the Remind app and log in, you will have the ability to use the app to communicate. Users are automatically opted in by the information submitted to the school district. If you provide a cell number, you would have the ability to receive text messages and calls. If you provide a landline telephone number, you will only get calls. If you provide an email address, you will get emails from Remind.

 

Notifications: You will have the ability to turn notifications on or off for all of your devices that utilize text messages, calls, and emails. You can adjust your notification settings either online at www.remind.com or in the APP by logging in.

 

If you already have a Remind account, you will still have access to your account and may continue using it. A district-wide message will go out on Thursday, September 30. You will receive a text, an email, and/or a voice call from the Remind system. All you need to do is follow the steps in the message to finish setting up your account. CREST Mission

 

To work with classroom teachers in order to provide continuity of educational service for students who are medically documented as having conditions requiring irregular attendance (policy 4.212)

 

CREST Expectations

 

1. Will serve as liaison between classroom teacher and the student/parent/guardian.

2. Will provide a cumulative time of 1 hour per student per week.

3. Will be responsible for conducting daily check-ins for attendance and will notify classroom teacher and attendance when contact is not successful (at which time the student would be marked absent and not coded CRT) Daily check-ins can include phone calls, emails, etc.

4. Will support classroom teacher as needed/requested.

5. Will ensure that effective communication occurs while student is out.

6. Will assist in problem-solving when needed.

7. Will assist with distribution of assignments as needed.
